Godfrey Miller Historic Home and Fellowship Center

The Godfrey Miller home, circa 1785, was built by Daniel Sowers on a lot granted by Lord Fairfax dated 1753. It was purchased by John Miller in 1812 who added a brick addition.

Family member Margaretta Sperry Miller (at the age of 12) kept a diary from March 23, 1863 through September 19, 1863. A transcript of the diary is on display.

The home features three birth and baptismal Frakturs for members of the Godfrey Miller Family printed by the Henkel Press of New Market, Virginia as well as a sheathing door and two 12 over 12 windows with original glass. Renovation and restoration of the home was completed in 2003.
