Description

The Friends of Handley Regional Library are please to announce the final performance in the 2011-2012 Season of A Little Noon Music.  The concerts run from 12:15 – 1 p.m. to enable busy people to use their lunch hour to hear good music.

This 7-piece ensemble specializes in Dixieland and ragtime genres. Formed over 10 years ago, its members enjoy the raucousness of this musical style and have as much fun playing as the audience has listening. Regular members include John Hudson on piano, Terry Whitmire on drums, Dave Compton on trumpet, Steve Stephens on trombone, Dale Streyle on baritone sax, Julie Staggers on clarinet and Mark St. Amand on tenor sax.

Dixie Rhythm performs regularly in the annual Apple Blossom Festival Grand Feature Parade. They have also performed at the Museum of the Shenandoah Valley, Glen Burnie, Long Branch, Rose Hill Park, The Veterans Administration Center in Martinsburg and Shenandoah University. They were recently invited to play at a Korean War army reunion in Ocean City, Maryland and the National Arboretum in Washington, DC.
