Under the direction of artistic director and former Ailey dancer Sylvia Waters, Ailey II dance company features the country’s top emerging dance talent, under the auspices of the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. Started in 1974 as the Alvin Ailey Repertory Ensemble, Ailey II is known for its electrifying performances and diverse repertoire of new works and contemporary dance classics.
